RUNable $5 5k for The Mustard Seed @ Outback Steakhouse
Oct 24 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
RUNable $5 5k for The Mustard Seed @ Outback Steakhouse | Flowood | Mississippi | United States

October’s RUNable $5 5k will support a non-profit organization in Flowood called “The Mustard Seed.” They seek to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of adults with developmental disabilities by providing a loving and protected Christian community with meaningful activities.

That’s the short of it. The long of it includes two group homes, a day program, their “Bells of Faith Handbell Choir,” as well as countless scheduled activities both on and off-campus for the “Seedsters.” These guys regularly participate in art therapy, and even hand paint pottery they sell in their gift shop! I have several pieces and they’re just beautiful! Learn more about the good this local group does everyday by visiting their website: https://mustardseedinc.org/. There are also lots of ways you can help in addition to attending the $5 5k on October 24.

Those of you familiar with our event may notice it’s scheduled a little later this month and not on our typical #ThirdThursday. Turns out the Seedsters had a conflict in their schedule so we were happy to move the date to accommodate our friends. We definitely want them at the 5k, and we hope you’ll all make plans to attend and come meet this awesome group of people!

For those of you new to our event, here’s the low down: there’s no need to register! Just grab $5 cash, lace up your shoes and come ready to #RunForAReason. This is a family event so bring your favorite 4-legged and 2-legged friends; the route is dog and stroller friendly.

This is a NO PRESSURE 5k; perfect for your first race or a great training run if you’re gearing up for marathon season. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come run, walk, roll, stroll, crawl or even just EAT…

As always, Outback will donate 20% of your check to our cause, so please plan to stick around after the event and have dinner or drinks at Outback. Don’t forget to thank your server and tell them you’re with the “$5 5k!”

**RUNable hosts our $5 5k each and every month on the third Thursday and donates 100% of the money raised to a different local cause. For more info visit our website: RUNable.life.
